Venky,Salman Khan is participating in ‘CCL(Celebrity Cricket League) Curtain Raiser’
The film stars from various film industries are set to play cricket soon named as the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) similar to IPL. In this league of CCL, star cricketers from all the industries will take part. The teams are titled as Bollywood (Mumbai Heroes), Tollywood (Telugu Tigers), Sandalwood (Bangalore Stars) and Kollywood (Tamil Superstars). During the CCL six league matches will be conducted and one final, which will take off in January.
Manchu Vishnu owns the team while Venkatesh is the captain for Tollywood cricket team. Samantha and Tapsee are selected as brand ambassadors for the Tollywood team. Salman khan and Surya are the captains for Bollywood and Kollywood CCL teams respectively.
The time has come for welcoming CCL (Celebrity Cricket League). This has the likes of Salman Khan, Venkatesh, Surya, Sudeep heading the teams and on the glamour side, there is Sonakshi, Genelia, Priyamani and others cheering up the teams.
The Curtain Raiser event is gearing up and all are arriving in special chartered flights. Unlike the regular white or red balls, pink balls are being used for the game and special arrangements are made to get cheer girls who are part of the European football league.
The Tollywood team is coached by the legendary Vivian Richards. The Curtain Raiser is scheduled to happen on March 5th at ACA VDCA cricket stadium, Vizag.
The perception is that CCL belongs to a Bombay group but truth is, the owners are from our Hyderabad. This has Vishnu Induri (co-founder of CCL) Sreenivasulu Murthy (one of the co-founders for South Scope magazine), Tirumal Reddy (Sprint Telefilms), Radhika Sarath Kumar from Chennai.
